I am looking for an outdoor patio area with fireplace and a grilling and prep area to connect home with backyard landscape. Please see precedent examples of outdoor patios with fireplaces and grill stations I like a lot at: http://bit.ly/LZ01wo
Please note that I like the larger enclosed fireplace structures, and not so much the open smaller fire pits on the floors.
Recently renovated 1930 colonial sitting on 3/4 acer lot dimensions apr 75' by 365' Apr. 26,780 sq ft.
House sits centered apr 50' off main road and driveway runs down left side of property line apr 100-125' off street to a newer 24'by 40' detached garage it sits apr 5ft off left side of property line.
Driveway has been redone past 5 years. It basically has become a play area for a 5 and 7 year old.
The back off house has a recently renovated 10'by 20' deck that we only utilize sparingly it does act how ever as our main entrance to the home not really a deck. Off the deck is driveway leading to garage of apr 20' also off back right corner of deck sits a ? 7'by 7' slab a hot tub sits on, with grass and some shrubs bordering apr 10ft of back deck.
The yard extends out off the side of garage with a small coy pond /fountain around the middle of garage with a nice landscaped area surrounding it.
The existing condition is very nice. The problem is we feel we would get a lot more enjoyment out of the yard adding a little more driveway/play space that is visible off the back of house and fountain area if we could incorporate a patio / maybe paver area off the back of deck out apr 25ft .
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
One problem is to install something that could handle parking as well as making sure any tree trucks/ bob cats etc can access the rest of the back property for future work (see blue outline in siteplan drawing).
OPTIONAL THINGS TO KNOW:
Not sure how far to go with my wants but the ultimate goal would to be to have a sports court installed further back of my property going from left to right. As of now during winter months i build a apr 36'by 56' ice rink (see VIEW 1) for kids 10ft off the back off garage following left side of property line that i would not want to loose. I probably would like to make that space a little bigger apr 40' by 64' or more and maybe 20ft off the back off that saved space going left to right you could design a simple area for a sport court ?
A. my goals are to add an exterior living area off existing deck that will highlight existing home, landscape and allow for future work in the back portion of property.also within new space incorporate a place for a grill with a prep area around and an exterior place to have a safe fire for night time use.
B. my expectations being an electrical contractor my self are high but cost can be an issue, my preferences are to enhance a already nice area with something that we will enjoy for years to come ,as far as style goes would like to keep with the flow that surrounds this existing space .
C. i would defiantly need ideas and concepts and will be executing this project as soon as all parties involved are happy
D. We have been remodeling since the purchase of the home 8 years ago and there are still a lot of smaller interior projects that we are considering in the future.
we have access to gas off back corner of house for possible grill location
I would also like lighting ideas and shrubs flower beds included in drawings
affordability of design is important we also don't want to obstruct any future projects that we are considering in the very back of property by limiting access to that area.
1. Plan drawing showing the patio area design (see red outline on siteplan), Scale 1/4"-1' (1/50)
2. Optional - larger siteplan showing sports court
3. Optional - some 3d views from top and sides

lastly, the idea of incorporating a design for a sports court as mentioned i think is important as well even know it is not the primary focus at this time , i do not want to have to upset the new patio area to much when and if we go ahead with a sports court in the future so lets just do a rough plan of what it might look like in the future ?
