We are looking for a complete renovation design plan for the backspace and crawlspace of our elevated lake view home.
We would like a creative plan that incorporates an elevated 4-season porch (existing elevated screened porch conversion which is at same level with living areas of home) and below and behind this elevation, a lap style swimming pool, covered outdoor kitchen and entertainment area.
Adjoining this area underneath the house will be a crawlspace conversion project (crawl space height currently exceeds 10+’) that will be constructed underneath the living areas that connect to the current elevated screened in porch. There will be an exercise room that looks out on the outdoor pool and entertainment areas. A guest bedroom, bathroom, storage spaces and small wine storage area will also be built as a part of this new basement structure.
The pictures included will show current elevation, screened porch, retaining wall and wood deck which can all be removed/modified/altered to meet the eye of the architect. We must maintain a 12’ buffer from our lot lines of any construction. Applicable Blue print and lot dimensions also scanned and attached.
Our preferred style is lakefront, mountain home, contemporary, if there is such a thing. We would like natural dark woods, stone/slate surfaces. We need to stay somewhat in alignment, to the current craftsman style, front of the home. HOA will cite craftsman as part of the ARB process but we want it to be creative in this regard and get the lakefront contemporary, natural look we are after.
Our selection criteria will think about the entertainment areas and maximization of the useable space with a design that enhances the value of the home.
