The building is a simple and clear long volume with a pitched roof on top – its character is inspired by the context, local climate conditions and intention for a clear organization. This design proposal follows a typology, which is coherent to the surrounding built environment. It embodies similar volume definition as the buildings around, but introduces a new, modest detailing and architectural language.
The main entrance is located to the north, facing the main logistic road. East of the building are located 17 parking places; parallel to them is the ramp which leads to the underground parking garage for 19 cars. Besides the main entrance there are a couple of doors on the south facade, which can be used as secondary (emergency) exits.
Facades are curtain glass walls, which creates well-illuminated interior spaces; adjustable wooden shutters can precisely control the amount of light inside. Openable parts of the facade and the skylights on the roof enable natural ventilation. The wooden structure of the office is gently articulated on the facades – it creates a rhythm and organization. A big roof overhang above the main entrance serves as a welcoming and guiding element.
The interior of the law office is a spacious bright space created with natural materials – warm wooden floor and ceiling, limestone walls, wooden structure and glass partition walls. The structure’s wooden trusses make a big impact on the character of the interior. The foyer includes a beautiful freestanding wooden reception desk with big sofas, green area and a fireplace. Each attorney office is bright with wooden floor and ceiling and glass walls to the greenery in the hallway. Assistant office is a big space divided by furniture to autonomous units.
The design provides good quality work environment – all spaces are well-illuminated, cozy with appropriate functional organization. The architectural language of the building contains rustic elements, which are expressed in modern and subtle manner.
