I need design for the exterior front of a residential mid century home built in 1956. It is located in a neighborhood of primarily Carmel cottage type homes with a few mixed California ranches located in San Jose, California. It currently stands out as a brick ediface with virtually no curb appeal at all.
I want to create a create a desirable first impression while drawing attention to the style of the house, mid-century modern, without making it the focal point of the entire neighborhood.
The challenge is the large exterior brick/fireplace wall which dominates the front of the house and the fact this is the only mid-century house in the surrounding neighborhood, so coming up with a design which shows off its features yet does adds to the neighborhood curb appeal is the challenge.
I will first choose a desirable design for the front and entrance to the house. Then we can tackle the rear of the house and patio area to make this stunning. Colors of the exterior and how the patio is designed will be dependent on the colors chosen for the front.
