For this project we do not want to provide a nice "decoration". Rather we want to question if there is a way to provide more spacious and better connected areas within the apartment. We believe it is possible.
We want a kitchen area, spacious and illuminated enough to be considered a social area (have some friends over, have a drink with them while cooking).
We want a large main bedroom, with incorporated area for reading or lounging,... with 180 degrees of view and balcony access.
We want a main living / dining area that is connected with a wooden piece of furniture that cleanly hides storage space, bookshelves, tv, etc.
Everything else we consider secondary.
We examined the plans provided, and from prior experience and general architectural knowledge, it is clear which elements are structural and which are not.
We expect all contour perimeter elements to be untouched for structural or building aesthetics (walls, columns and windows on perimeter).
We expect a large column identified in plan as well as vertical installation ducts to be unmovable.
All additional thin walls are (from pictures provided) drywall and thus not structural. We stand by our initial analysis but are able and willing to accommodate design adjustments if proven otherwise.
We hope you like our ideas, we think they are indeed feasible and are able and willing to discuss to guide contractor.
