The ground living areas are open space, I used a single flight stair with glass railing and a decorative wooden wall which separates the sleeping area from the living while acting as a handrail for the stair.
The foyer acts as a zone where the inhabitants can interact and communicate visually between the floors, the stair and the opening next to it making it easier to perceive the entire space. There is also a skylight in the roof just above the stair which creates a nice effect of the light traveling down the stairs to the ground floor.
The elevator is panoramic, (only the sides are made of concrete, the front and back are made of glass).
I put the office on the first floor and used the second floor as a gym/ chill area with wide views of the terrace and garden. The gym can be opened via movable walls to this area which can also act as a living area. The gym also has a bathroom with sauna and shower. The househelp room is also on the second floor.
I used few materials for the entire building: glass, white stucco walls, architectural exposed concrete for the volume with the balconies and terraces and a few wooden accents near the entrance, giving it a simple, clean modern look - less is more :). If you would like it more, the exposed concrete can be replaced either with wood siding or white stucco.
Large glazed areas were used in front and in the back of the house, as these areas can be more private and protected through plants and trees. Smaller windows with high sills were used on the right and left side, as the neighboring houses are pretty close.
The roof terrace has a green area which can hold grass where you can lay down or a few small plants.
Exterior spotlights were strategically placed to accentuate the cantilevered roof and terraces, in order to better display the clean architectural features.
Thank you, and I'm looking forward to further improve and detail this project together!
