My approach was straight forward; I maintained the proposed design floor plan but adjusted some of the exterior element as seen on the floor plan, the new deck size I adjusted to fit in a roof that is seamless. The shed roof theme I maintained but the pitch was adjusted with an overhang of 2.6' except for the garage area which is a flat roof.
The line of sight from both the left and right side of the building were taken into consideration. the left side facing the neighbor structure; all the windows were horizontal, high level windows placed above line of sight and also adequately protected by the roof overhang, both the master bedroom and the master bath has similar window solution. The new protrusion at the bathtub area, I introduced high level windows at both side of the protrusion and the front. The right side of the house that faces the vacant lot, the kitchen wall area was left blank but introduce a skylight on the roof for this spaces and also the stair well. The dinning section I introduce minimal vertical windows apart to provide some sort of transition between the inside and outside but not so that you get generous view in if vacant lot is developed.
The rear has a generous window openings due to the view out also the heat gain is not a problem since the roof extends over this area.
