Nature and suggestive landscape, which characterize this zone, are the starting point of the concept. My focus is the research of relations between the environment and the house, the house and the man and then between the man and environment.
The result of this research is an architectural solution which is described in the following paragraphs.
The house is a pitched roofs composition of volumes, which are spread over two floors plus basement. The volumetric composition is simple and essential and aims to minimize the building impact in the context where it is placed. Pitched roofs shape creates a spectacular frame for the surrounding landscape. This volumes system embrace the courtyard where is located a swimming pool and a garden.
Each volume of the building has a different function. The longitudinal one contains the living area, the kitchen, the office and service rooms. The central one includes the four bedrooms sleeping area and the gym. The third inclined body houses the indoor pool, the garage and the mudroom.
Externally the building looks like a wooden box where large horizontal windows mark the presence of the rooms. The external facades are coated with wooden boards, in order to minimize the impact of the structure on the landscape and reduce both construction and maintenance costs.
In order to follow my concept (relation between inside and outside), the building has many windows, which frame views creating fascinating internal perspectives.
In contrast with the rough exterior surfaces, the interior finishes are elegant and covered with white plaster. This solution creates suggestive and refined ambient where the natural surroundings became the scenic backdrop for everyday activities.
The living and sleeping area floors are covered with wooden surfaces, except for the bathrooms, indoor pool and services. The kitchen floor area is covered with a dark polished concrete that absorbs the heat during the day, slowly releasing it at night.

The main entrance leads to the living area volume. The stairs are located on the left, linking the upper floor to the basement. On the right a hallway leads to the sleeping area.
Moving forward you arrive in the living area, where large horizontal glass walls enhance spatial perception establishing a relationship with the external environment.
A small bar separates the kitchen from the living area.
The sleeping area on the ground floor overlooks on the inner courtyard, offering stunning views from the inside. Going up the stairs you will find the office, a room without space limits, where you can glance at the treetops.
The second floor contains two more bedrooms and a spacious gym. From the gym, you can step out onto the large covered terrace for outdoor exercise or stay for an evening with friends. From the gym, you can reach the pool by stairs. So after exercises, you can continue sport activities in the pool.
At the end of your activities, you can relax in the spacious sauna which is located near the pool and the gym. As requested the garage can accommodate three cars with three independent accesses. Moreover in the back of the garage a large mudroom is situated.
The basement can be reached by an inner stair or by a bulkhead door.
In this area I planned a home cinema where you can watch TV or movies.
A wall divides this area from the relax ones where you can find a pool table, a table tennis and a bar where you can have cocktails with friends. Finally the basement hosts the mechanical room.
The pitched roofs, are not only for aesthetic purposes but especially for energy ones.
Thanks to this roofs it is possible to install a solar system panels. In addition, outer wooden coverings ensure optimization of house energy performance.
